We need to get rid of the “federal” reserve and go back to having the Treasury issue money like it used to do. At the very least, by cutting out the middle man in the currency creation process, it alleviates enough pressure on the accumulation of national debt that the government will be able to significantly lower taxes on working Americans. That in turn will free up more money that can be spent in ways that actually benefit people instead of just going to pay interest (to the privately held banks who own shares of the “federal” reserve) on our always expanding national debt.
