On July 9, 1984, the Hoosier Dome hosted a matchup between the USA Olympic Team and the NBA All-Stars. Leading the USA squad was the renowned coach Bob Knight from Indiana, with Gene Keady, the Purdue coach, serving as an honorary assistant for the evening. https://t.co/EklCujPGoE
They really trying to tank Jaylen Brown’s reputation over nothing. No legal trouble, no violence, no gambling scandals. Just a man who speaks his mind and plays at an All-NBA level.
Among other things, I think enthusiasm about America’s 250 is hurt by not having a cool name, like the Bicentennial did. Man, I was 10 in 1976, and I think the word was on every other thing I saw.
Definitely hurts…yanno…among other things.

@Lizzs_Lockeroom Yeah…the knucklehead shit is exhausting. I was lucky last year. I had enough time and distance to be able to focus on the ride and mute the noise (and the heartbreak at the end.) But…that shit is loud.
@atrupar Respect. My father jumped with the 82nd Airborne, landing near Ste. Mere Eglise. It was the third of the four jumps he made in WWII. (Original medals and patches lost in a house fire. Collection recreated through a year’s worth of research by one of my sisters.)
