Everyone kept assuming 'timebound' meant time-travel, so I leaned in to that and built a cyberpunkfuture: Elevatia — multi-km tall megastructures. Timmy streams from halfway up the residential zone, 6km up. (continued)
@k_photo_tokyo Sorry for intruding but this is really interesting. Its like ghosts from the past. A haunting memory that you can't quite remember exactly.
I was thinking about roles. Is there a robust well separated categorization for roles? Maybe, but they can be as diverse as individual personalities. However, there are in fact multiple robust categorization systems for personality that are quite satisfying.
Could I then do a personality analysis on roles? But roles aren't a different personality, they are systems of behavior that are different from a person's default behavior. Is that true though? Does a person really have a default behavior, or are they just selecting between various roles all the time. Now that I think of it, I'm inclined to believe the later. They are more like daemons. Like parts of a personality. Ah there is a field for this - parts therapy. But that kind of parts are not normally what people are talking about when they are talking about roles. But they are not totally different either. What are roles then?
@mindingmyps@dootdootdootayy@DreamMixGames I think its charming to deal with people with unjust hearts in a way that reflects their underlying lack of sophistication. Its a petty thing to get angry about, and that makes feel like a victory has been won against a villain.
@meltymim we all put ourselves into situations that cause us to relive our historical traumas until we feel we can have some kind of control over them. . . or even just the comfort of familiarity.
@SayuriArtsy Each world has tiny worlds that grow on it. Then those worlds fall off into the universe and grow up to be big worlds. Isn't that how worlds are made?
@threenotes_jp My classic response has always been 'thank you'. There's really no point in having a viewpoint that is exactly like another person. If someone is doing a job, that position is already being filled.
