@uscfan981 Millennials wouldn’t win a game. Such D liabilities there. Silent G poorly constructed with 3 C’s. It comes down to Boomers and GenX - and the Boomers have the GOAT. Boomers for the win
Good reminder that, Fresh off a 12-1 season, Notre Dame voluntarily suspended their starting QB Everett Golson for the entirety of the 2013 fall semester for cheating on a test.
Texas Tech is not only shamelessly allowing a player who bet on his own games to play for their team…they appear to have rigged the local courts to make sure it happened.
The opinions and moral posturing of Joey Mac and Texas Tech administration should never be taken seriously.
Just my take.
This past H.S. season, I saw more pitchers throwing 85-89 mph than ever. The fastball wasn’t the problem. The toughest at-bats came against 75 mph lefties who threw strikes, pitched backwards, and landed solid breaking balls and changeups. Pitchability wins games.
If the NCAA can't suspend Brendan Sorsby for gambling, can the NCAA suspend a player for targeting a defenseless player, say for instance Brendan Sorsby?
Asking non-Lubbock judges to weigh in here
Sorsby bet over $90,000 total including bets on his own team and gets a weak 2 games but you had athletes betting $10 on various sports that got banned for life??? Of all the messed up things that have occurred in the last 5 years in college athletics this may be the dumbest!!
My friend and attorney Chad Hatmaker, who has experience in eligibility cases, summed up Sorsby ruling well. “This might be the case that actually generates real reform. That’s absolutely ridiculous. If you have an illness as an employee, you don’t get to break the rules because of it. An alcoholic can’t come to work drunk without getting fired.”
Parents for the love of god please stay out of your son or daughters dugout. Players, stop going to visit mommy and daddy during the game. You might as well go out on the field with an emotional support stuffed animal at this point it’s getting a little nuts. Get their water or whatever they need before the game you don’t need to visit each other 5 times a game and then wonder why they can’t do hard things on their own.
A fucking men. This shit is the one thing that will derail the positive trajectory of college baseball to the masses. Grow the fuck up and jog to first
There are LOTS of great pro golf announcers and analysts for PGA events. But can we get more Jack Nicklaus in the booth at other events? Its obviously his tourney this week, but damn his insights on the game are so next level sometimes
Solid points. Wherever the facts lie, the truth is the big loser in this scenario is Chicago/state of Illinois. No surprise. When losers run the operation, losing follows
New Chicago Bears Stadium: Investment Pays Off
Kevin Warren was hired for one thing. Build Chicago Bears a new stadium that is as world class as US Bank stadium.
That stadium has already hosted a superbowl and will host the draft soon
The fact that it’s already paid off is a testament to Kevin Warren’s understanding of real estate, taxes, and business.
Chicago didn’t support Kevin Warren because their forsight was hindered by the mistakes of Ted Phillips.
But he is no Ted Phillips, and he is going to build the Bears the greatest entertainment venue in all of America
1. Kevin Warren knows how to build a stadium that becomes a worthy investment. When your stadium is built properly, such as he did with US Bank stadium, it becomes profitable and not a burden. He isnt trying to build just a football stadium, he is trying to build a world class venue that can hosts..
- Final Four
- Olympics
- International Futbol
- High school sports and playoffs
- D1 sporting events such as track, wrestling, volleyball
- Wrestlemania
- Major artist concert tours
- NFL Draft
- Superbowls
This is what Ted Phillips, the former Bears president, lacked in his vision. He created one of the worst renovations in all of football because he was just trying to get a new football stadium and not an entertainment venue.
2. According to a data analysis, US Banks is on track to generating 14 billion dollars in economic activity and growth.
Warren knows what he is doing.
NWI has cheaper real estate than in Illinois, faster growing GDP, and Indiana continues to bring in billion dollar partners and investors such as the Chicago Bears
This isn’t just a stadium location, this is a real estate diamond in the rough that is about to explode on the market
When you see this type of motion, you’ll start seeing the restaurants, retail, hotels, and entertainment hubs building all around what’s going on.
In 10 years, that area won’t even be recognizable
Study the genesis of Orlando, Florida
Study the genesis of Austin Texas
You’ll see what’s happening in NWI quickly. This will become the biggest sports hub in America with the Bears moving to Hammond.
3. Staying at Soldier Field beyond its contract is no longer feasible. The world’s greatest football team in America is bottlenecked in the smallest seated stadium.
Nothing is convenient about game day because if its location and logistics
Bears had two options to consider when renovating in 03.
Keep it historic and restore it like the job completed at Wrigley
Or
Tear it down and build modern stadium that could stand test of time
Ted Phillips did neither which left the Bears and city of Chicago with debt and a venue that can’t host anything
4.Some folks understand business, some don’t.
I trust that Kevin Warren and Indiana politicians do. Go
Listen to Mike Braun speak. Go listen to Hammond’s mayor speak. Go listen to Gary’s mayor speak.
Illinois seriously dropped the ball
This venue could pay off itself and all the debt from Soldier Field if politicians could have supported Bears building a new stadium in Illinois.
Now the Bears can leave all debt the city owes behind them and start new.
They worked tirelessly these past 5 years trying to pass legislation that Indiana passed in months
Conclusion: Chicago lost the Bears due to poor leadership and foresight in Illinois.
It’s time to break ground!

Becoming a good golfer is one of the best things you can do for your career.
It will get you in rooms you don't deserve to be in.
MBA's are saturated, scratch golfers aren't.
I don't write the rules but if you are a low handicap golfer it prints in the business world.
