I like to hc that Amelia is a pretty smiley child, especially with prre-death William as a parent.

After her mother died, William would do anything to make Amelia smile.. ^^

After a few months of convincing, Archangel relents and lets William 'preen' them, and goodness are they soft... And Archangel feels something warm bloom in his chest..

So they have a bi-weekly wing 'preening' session (though it's more of an excuse for William to touch them...)

While Archangel's wings dont need preening (he's a supernatural entity after all), William still insists in doing so (thinking Archangel's wings are similar to a bird's)
