@Portergauge I get the feeling they consider other player charcters as enough representatives of the horde and alliance, and only realized via feed back that players don't see it that way.
@HrothgalSai@MakiZenos Putting aside the issue of having an existing character run against two new characters, they've never attempted votes like this since. Astrid has long since taken over as the main event NPC, and the only evidence we ever saw of the Blue or Yellow decor is from a dev blog pic.
@HrothgalSai@MakiZenos They did a valentines event around the same time where you could choose between 3 npcs to run the event, with decor in a server's winner's color to be put up when the voting period ended.
Every server voted for the Astrid, the younger sister of the previous host and a known npc.
@MakiZenos The possible content of that ending haunts me more then anything. Did those of us who played back then fail them? Is it our fault it ended this way? Or does it not exist and we're coping? Or are we lucky and the other was worse?
@_SpyDtroid_ During the events of FFV he is cast into The Rift, the interdimensional space between worlds. Since then, he's been able to briefly leave in search of strong swords and foes, hoping to run into 5's hero for their final duel. He ends up in a bunch of other games instead.
This is funny to me because Yoshi-p put that line in the final ShB trailer. It threw the fandom for a loop because we got what seemed like big reveal was just casually dropped in a trailer, only for him to clarify that there were bigger more more important stuff he didn't put in.
Well.
Learning that Zodiark and Hydaelyn are the most powerful and eldest of Primals was *not* on my bingo card.
Ascians were, are, of the original world, sundered into 13 Shards along with The Source.
This explains how they can move between them, as I guessed!
