Time to Act is a student led campaign based at Cardiff University focusing on tackling sexual misconduct on campus.

Students have been failed over and over again but no more. The University must do better for us, for all of us.

It’s our time to act.

The perfect victim idea focused on victims rather than perpetrators. It’s the idea that victims/survivors of sexual violence must be the ideal victim in order to be believed. Whether that’s the way they look, if they were intoxicated or what they were wearing.

All of this is irrelevant. Because it focuses on victims rather than perpetrators.

It makes sexual violence as something you bring upon yourself rather than a violence that is inflicted upon you.

Time to act took on the senedd today for @NFWIWales & @JoyceWatsonmsas white ribbon day event and vigil. We were able to hear from so many amazing speakers and also highlight the work that needs to be done in welsh universities on sexual violence.

For a long time now we have seen people mostly women who have come forward on social media sharing their horrific experiences with sexual violence and harrassment within Cardiff. 1/2
