If your new workplace hands you a Thinkpad, you basically have a job for life, but if they give you MacBook Air, you and the rest of your team could get fired next week.
We really need to stop acting like university is the only way to make it. Most of these schools are selling a dream that doesn’t exist anymore. You spend 4 years under extreme stress just to realize the system is outdated.
Minimum wage in Kenya is 170,000 naira. Minimum wage in Nigeria is 77,000 naira. Yet many employers underpay and even owe staff this 77,000naira.
On minimum wage,
Tinubu does not compare with Kenya.
But on petrol price, he remembers to compare with Kenya.
A clueless manikin.

I just read all four pages of Einstein’s 1949 essay ‘Why Socialism?’ so that you wouldn’t have to, and here is a summary:
1. Einstein believed that only a supranational organization can prevent the outbreak of another World War. He has been so far right as there has been no World War since the establishment of the United Nations in 1945.
2. He posited that man is both a solitary and social being, seeking to protect his own existence and satisfy his personal desires, and at the same time, gain the affection and recognition of his fellow human beings.
3. Einstein argued that man can only find meaning in life by devoting himself to society.
4. Capitalism, which allows a community of producers to deprive everyone else of the fruits of collective labour through legally established rules, is the real source of evil in society.
5. The advancement in technology has created huge private organizations or an oligarchy of private capital which cannot be checked by democratically elected governments. This is especially evident in that political parties which present leaders in a democracy are largely financed by these oligarchs, and he who pays the piper dictates the tune.
6. Einstein unequivocally stated that the only way to eliminate the evils of capitalism is through the creation of a socialist economy, built alongside an educational system that is oriented towards social goals in place of glorification of personal success that exists in contemporary society.
I think Einstein lived well ahead of his time as his essay addressed some fundamental questions of our generation. I encourage you all to read the full essay:
