@jonnywpg9999@TheCapt3878@JayGenXer Who cares about farming. The price savings are still valid. I was talking about the price in my area, which is confirmed. It's what I said. Prices differ depending on location.
@jonnywpg9999@TheCapt3878@JayGenXer I wasn't arguing that. I wasn't even talking yo you. I posted the confirmed pricing in my area. Get off your high horse
@SH13LDS7@Telegraph@AndrewOrlowski Elon did mention data centers on the moon or satellites. I'm not sure which. @grok would it be cheaper to have data centers up north where it's cold, or would that affect the environment?
The cost you dont hear about is cooling. It's huge. Data centers spend a ton of money to keep them cool. The best move for AI and data centers is to move them into space via satellites or data centers on the moon. Cooling is not a factor and costs nothing. This is the only solution I can see. Sure, it will cost a lot to get them there, but its going to be savings long-term. Data centers are noisy, eat a lot of energy for cooling, and no one wants them in their city. Utah is building one in a small city with a population of 6000. Their energy costs will skyrocket, and none of them use AI. It's a small town that will be plagued with fan noise and rising energy costs. Plus, water is hard to get, and data centers use water for cooling. It's a total loss for those people.
@SH13LDS7@Telegraph@AndrewOrlowski Not yet. As demain for AI goes up, so does the energy costs. If not used, energy still goes up because businesses are making their model. Either way, it's unsustainable. Cost is passed to the consumer, even those that dont use it.
@SH13LDS7@Telegraph@AndrewOrlowski There will be an AI collapse. The energy costs will rise so high people and companies might stop using it. The cost will be passed onto everyone. Even those that dont use it. When demand drops, the cost goes up. It's unsustainable. My work has already banned AI in the workplace.
The extra large is 1.90, so 3.80 for two. I only buy coffee at McDonald's, so I have no idea what his sandwiche cost was. He probably used a promotion.
A co-worker bought from Tim hortons two medium double double coffees only, and it cost him 4.60.
So yeah, I'm still saving by avoiding Tim Hortons.
