This team.
We came together in 2020 when lots of uncertainty surrounded every day for everyone. As challenges popped up, we powered through them together. We leaned on each other and built more than just a tv show. We built a family. Tight knit as they come, champions of each other, respect when opinions differ, a willingness to listen, a constant hunger for improvement...these are just some of the qualities that define us. It's an honor l'Il cherish forever to be able to work with our group. Both on and off camera they are the best of what humanity has to offer. I love awards because of the shine it brings to those behind the scenes who don't always get the recognition we get on camera.
Our staff is the reason any of this happens. They spend countless hours of planning, pitching ideas, editing clips and so much more. They are our heartbeat.
Congrats to everyone who touches NFL Live. Thank you for letting me be a very small part of this every day.
See you, as always, at 4 pm on ESPN
I often get asked “what Laura like”
My response is always this:
“She knows the show has absolutely no chance to be good without her and she is the most important person on the show—but—she never ever ever makes the show about her”
It’s her superpower and rare and it’s why she’s a 🐐
Congratulations to 'NFL Live' on its 2026 #SportsEmmys win for 'Outstanding Studio Show - Daily'
This is the show's 2nd consecutive win & ESPN's 10th victory in this category
“When you already doubt yourself… some of it seeps in”- @LauraRutledge
It’s baffling that the Emmy nominated Laura Rutledge receives any hate. Even more baffling to Laura is the negativity that @minakimes deals with. It’s the reality of being an exceptional woman in the sport’s world.
With all she’s accomplished doubt still remains for Laura, & outside negativity still has its effects. She has learned to sift through it much better, but every now & then she responds… there may be a cocktail involved on those days.

“What I once thought was impossible is now the greatest joy in my life.” @LauraRutledge
A Pivotal Mother’s Day episode with everyone’s favorite- Laura Rutledge, who keeps proving that ambition and motherhood can coexist.
We always see the happy go-lucky, hardworking, ball-busting side of Laura on the sidelines from Monday Night Football to College biggest match ups to hosting Master’s ⛳️ coverage to leading @espnnfl Emmy Award-Winning NFL Live—what we don’t always see is the quiet moments of doubt, struggles and pure dedication, not just to her craft but her family.
In a deeply personal revelation, Laura opens up about the sacrifices, grief, fear of losing her career after becoming a mom, and the relentless work it takes to show up for both family and purpose. A powerful reminder that strength isn’t just what you achieve — it’s what you overcome.

“I think he would’ve loved being an Uncle, & they would’ve loved him”- Laura Rutledge on late brother Alex.
@LauraRutledge’s son is named Jack Alexander Rutledge. He’s named after his Uncle Alex who passed in a 2018 cave diving accident. Her biggest regret is that Alex never met her children, but she will make sure they know everything about him. He meant everything to Laura, & he would be so proud to see what she’s accomplished.

“We had a lot of haters; I think inside the building… A lot of haters outside the building”- Laura Rutledge
COVID forced the revamped NFL Live to be shot virtually, & birthed the greatest text chain in ESPN history. There were doubts the show would even last. It forced @LauraRutledge to pick herself apart daily, but as our relationships grew so did our Emmy winning show. Now, we are a family, & the audience feels that we are their family too.

Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney#Cameroon https://t.co/bKteFZ3iWE
