Okay, but seriously, why is “odyssey” so hard to spell? How many d’s how many y’s how many s’s. I can just never get it right. Little red line, please go away.
The subtitles spell the word “centre” instead of “center”!? Outrageous. Words should only be used the way I expect them! What’s normal to me is the standard!
Christopher Nolan and Tom Holland on using "modern" language in The Odyssey,
Q: You say "Dad" rather than "Father." What's the thinking behind that?
Holland: I wouldn't have said "Father" back then anyway, it would've been in Greek.
people use the term "dumpster fire" as a pejorative, but if something has to be on fire, it may as well be in a dumpster. you have metal walls and everything. easily one of the top 10 places for something to safely and unobtrusively be on fire.
The fact that the video game industry is trying to force all digital, while the music industry brought vinyl BACK, is pretty fucking funny the more you think about it.
i hold a record on the kobayashi maru. i’m the fastest person to ever say it was a no-win situation. they said, “george, we haven’t even finished explaining it yet.” i said, “doesn’t matter. can’t be done.”
@MrAbbeetim I genuinely don’t know why someone would like it. I hate to be a hater but it’s so bad. Clark letting his dad die an avoidable death? Pa Kent demanding it of him in the first place? The fact that he could obviously save him without revealing his “secret”? It’s just plain awful.
The main villain is responsible for the villainy. The primary antagonist is primarily antagonizing. The central bad guy is bad in a most central way. I noticed.
