The MIT study has a second finding that almost nobody quotes.
When AI was used to challenge the thinker to push back, to argue, to act as a sparring partner, engagement went up. Not down. Up.

New: AI is making preaching worse — and MIT has the EEG scans to prove it.
Researchers hooked people up to EEGs and had them write essays. Some with ChatGPT, some on their own. The AI group showed up to 55% less brain activity.

@megbasham When an “alien” is here with a legal process that was suddenly revoked and then is moved to Alligator Alcatraz, you would have to do backflips to make that square with this verse. But sure…let’s argue about one word in that verse @megbasham
@HonestYPTweets Hmmm…I see what you are saying but what do you think Jesus did? And then what do you think the reformers did? And maybe we have intertwined following Christ with culture wars to a point that some things need to be deconstructed? (Agree wrong term. See Derrida)
One independent estimate of the deaths from the closure of USAID is that 14 million people will die over the next 5 years. That is 3 times more deaths than ALL of the wars and conflicts of the 21st century. And most Americans don’t seem to care.1/
This statement would hold more water if Christians in the US actually voluntarily fed the poor and helped the sick. The problem is that estimates show the US church gives 500M- 1B/yr. USAID gives about 21B. So until we increase our giving by 20 fold, this statement rings hollow.
@smashbaals Yeah, it's not like that little verse combined with 'the greatest commandment' would ever be used to summarize the ENTIRE OT law, right? Oh wait...nevermind.
@inthe306@mikeerre A post like this seems to imply that you believe that a foreigner should not be loved as if we, ourselves, have not been radically rescued. Policy is one thing, but the clear stance of our leaders is to make the foreigner feared and demonized. This is not the way.
@aprilajoyr I mean, it's hard to see what is even satire these days. It's like we have WWE wrestlers running the whole country. (and that's not fair to WWE, so apologies)
@JoelWBerry If we’re going to talk about “defeating lawlessness,” let’s start by naming it in all its forms—including the kind that wears a suit, holds a Bible, and builds walls instead of bridges.
@JoelWBerry The problem isn’t that people don’t care about justice. The problem is some only recognize injustice when it confirms their political resentments.
You can’t call for human rights with one breath and demonize migrants with the next.
@DustyDeevers@OKFreedomCaucus Amazing. Just waiting on the follow-up resolution declaring “Blessed are the peacemakers,” “Love your enemies,” and “Woe to the powerful.”
