I got our company banned from an airport lounge for 24 hours.

We have 6 corporate lounge memberships for employees traveling internationally.

Nobody tracks who uses them.

I discovered this in 2022.

Since then I have added the cards to Apple Wallet on my phone, my wife's phone, and my brother's phone.

Last month my brother used one in Boston while I was using the same membership in Dallas.

The lounge system noticed.

Our travel department emailed asking why one employee appeared to be eating breakfast 1,700 miles apart.

I said the vendor probably had a synchronization issue.

They suspended all six accounts while investigating.

The COO was flying that afternoon and had to sit at the gate.
