🚨A 1953 UFO LETTER FOUND IN A CARDBOARD BOX CORROBORATES A MILITARY SIGHTING
A private letter written in Durban, South Africa, in March 1953 has resurfaced after being discovered among unrelated papers bought at a flea market of all places.
Barbara Graves told a friend that she and her companion had watched a round object move across a completely cloudless sky, remain stationary for an extended period, and then climb until it disappeared. She was adamant it wasn't an aircraft and regretted not having a telephoto lens to photograph it.
The auction house where the letters are going up for auction says that two South African Air Force flying officers independently reported unidentified objects over Durban on the same day. Barbara apparently had no knowledge of their report when she privately recorded what she had seen.
The letter preserves a rare civilian account that may overlap with a military sighting from the same place and date. It was nearly lost in a cardboard box. Now it is expected to sell for between £300 and £500 on August 18.

Didn’t expect to bump into an old friend in Carlisle @TullieCarlisle today! My fave Roman Artefact displayed in any museum, The Colchester Vase🏺
As the name suggests, the pot was excavated in Colchester (Essex) in the mid 1800’s, a fine and important example of Roman pottery 🔍
Done and dusted!
@TimothyMedhurst is so good at what he does, I learned a huge amount from him and laughed all the way around Scotland (and Grantham, randomly, at the end 😂)
