@Dyor_Fudd@Kapuster@TheEconomist On the contrary both of those systems have been undermined by people looking for incentives. It's a deliberate strategy called starving the beast. Spend a decade hacking away the system until it becomes politically popular to privatize (which is exactly how you've been mislead).
@EdtheSock@BradMBradford I agree that the mayor shouldn't be beholden to any ideology they should be focused on doing the right thing for their constituents, and that s why I will be voting for Chow again. She's been a fantastic mayor despite what the 24/7 media attacks on her would like you to believe.
@cord5557@Kapuster@TheEconomist I wonder if anything happened in 2014 that could have affected our economy (like the global crash in oil prices, all oil economies were set back by it). But no, it must be Trudeau who somehow crashed the economy before he was actually sitting in office.
@cord5557@Kapuster@TheEconomist Yeah because we've had years of conservative premiership drawing funding out of healthcare to try to push American style privatisation. Our Heathcare used to be some of the best in the world before that.
@Kapuster@TheEconomist Health care is not a business in most countries on the planet. This is a very US-specific problem (where the solution is for them to catch up to the rest of the planet and have universal healthcare)
@Bogartin92@CButcher817@OrangeFreddyG Buddy I just checked your recent replies and you seem jealous you were born too late to join the KKK you're probably the wrong dude to be criticising.
@realBrandonGill And Obamacare was a compromise (pushed by billionaires) because fully socialised healthcare would hurt their profit margins. So yeah, it's billionaires.
@skedguy01@annanimiddy Then you should be mad at Doug Ford for cutting funding towards shelters, welfare and offloading that cost to municipal governments, these issues are happening all over Ontario because of him. It's not Chows fault that municipal budgets can't help these people.
