@Gingerly636 I've spent *a lot* of time trying to understand them. The suspension of reality required to buy into any of this stuff can not be over-stated. It is mind-numbingly stupid -- and unbelievably easy to prove/falsify. Eratosthenes figured it out 2000+ years ago.
@Gingerly636 They've got some wack-a-doodle explanation about "the ice wall" and/or "the firmament" that make the flat earth a closed system. Seriously. ๐
@edroso It's a gateway to the frozen snack aisle, really understanding that 20 minute Dark Star jam from '73 and/or remembering all the boneheaded mistakes you've ever made in your entire life.
"Make the most of the hemp seed. Sow it everywhere!" (for any self-proclaimed originalists)
@Gigiforallsoul "What if it were multiple defendants for the same charges? Are there any group-discounts or bulk-rates for representing a small handful of clients at once?"
@Gingerly636 There's a not-so-fine line between, "That radical idea is so far ahead of my comprehension that it sounds crazy to my feeble worker-bee brain" and "You are too indoctrinated by NASA to recognize that the Earth is actually flat". Both are "crazy". But one is fucking NUTS! ๐
@MajorTomHeuchan I don't think I saw a Carini opener, but I definitely remember them opening Deer Creek with a Smashing Pumpkins cover at one point. ๐
@Gingerly636 @AP Loretta was the Queen of Fist City. Saw her perform about 10 years ago at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Even at that age, she was incredible.
@samthielman Seeing any original rock and roll poster art from the Fillmore / Winterland scene? How about original "Underground" art from the Zap Comics / Mad Magazine era?
@johndmorey@jerrygarcia "Anyone who sweats like that must be alright" is such a hilarious line to me. Right up there with Delia shooting Stagger Lee in the balls. ๐
@zappa I really miss Frank's satire in days like these. I can only imagine the glorious re-visitations of "Donny's Such an Asshole" and/or "Jesus Thinks Yer a Jerk". FVZ was way ahead of the curve. He warned us back in the Reagan era. Get yer butts out to the lobby and register to vote!
@chipfranklin One is an insect-brained opportunist that show-boats it's predatory weaponry at the slightest bristling in a hilarious attempt to assert dominance -- and the other is a large spider.
@PrjctEarthAngel I seem to remember him covering Sawmill by Mel Tillis at some point as well. I don't remember if it was GD Proper or NRPS or Bobby Ace & The Cards from the Bottom of the Deck or which combination it was, but it was damn good! "Mercy on a poor boy, mercy on a poor boy!"
