@Josikinz@FatherMcKennaa Perhaps, some synchronicity may have to do with time perception. For example, you have a thought about someone and a few seconds later they call you. Maybe the thought was just the data received first, the call was second.
@RianKMD Thank you for bringing awareness to this topic! From a different perspective, psychosis was the most spiritual experience I've ever had. The term spiritual experience IMO includes both + and - experiences. Transcending reality can go either way :)
🎉🌺Aloha! Exciting news for the #psychedelic community! Hawaii has just passed a bill to prepare for federal approval of #psychedelics.
This is a huge step forward for the movement to destigmatize and #decriminalize these substances.

@ScottyJParsons @TheDailyShroom I agree. The only problem is there are plenty of people suffering from trauma, depression, PTSD, addiction etc. that don't have $1000 lying around. Being poor is a side effect. I did the heroic and hoped for the best. We do what we have to do.
@HeatherEHeying Science as a method depends on observation. Science as an institution depends on funding. Science as a religion depends on dogma. But you already know the things..... :) Love your work!
@Drug_Researcher For women with premenstrual exacerbation or premenstrual dysphoria, psychedelic experiences may be VERY different based on menstrual cycle phases. I have PMDD and had to learn this the hard way. Not including "interactions" like hormones seems dangerous.
@Drug_Researcher Love this! Quick question: Studies show women have a higher risk of depression than men. Makes sense that WebMD showed far more women than men in this piece. Is there any consideration for the menstrual cycle in psychedelic study design?
@JasterAlaina Let the magic in, capitalism will restructure. Psychedelics are teachers. It won't be long before patients grow them in their closet and start speaking out about absurd "drug" laws. It's a natural progression.
@JHPsychedelics@ManojDoss@DiscoverMag Risk is relative. Psychedelics have risks. Ineffective mental health treatments have risks. Suicidality has risks. Underground markets and DIY set / setting / dose / integration has risks. If I could walk into a clinic to trip I could reduce my risk.
@RCarhartHarris It would be interesting to see habit forming behavior in mice with and without the experience. Without the memory, how is the feeling mapped aside from the drug?
@RCarhartHarris After the trip wears off, the memory of the experience is left behind. It's a place we can go back to so we can remember what happiness and joy feels like. We can pull ourselves out of bad places. The experience itself is a cognitive tool.
@FatherMcKennaa Cult definition: "a religious group, often living together, whose beliefs are considered extreme or strange by many people" So basically, when people create communities of like minded people that don't fit cultural narratives, they are considered cults.
@TheDailyShroom Clearly. Mushrooms grow in the wild, they're called natural resources for a reason. I can grow them in my backyard or my closet. Very versatile.
@RCarhartHarris Premenstrual dysphoria may offer interesting insights into canalization. Divergence in epigenetic processes have been documented, as well as a strong correlation with trauma and PTSD.
