I'm a good ol' buddy and a streamer. I'm a heckin' nerd, I love talking game theory and game design, I love learning, and I'm bad at jumping. Also; be nice!
@PlayStation To Sony, who sold millions of people a game that they wouldn't be able to play after 3 months, only pulling their silly idea after 200,000+ negative steam reviews:
@PlayStation "We're still learning how far we can push the line. We will reconvene in the board room on Monday to devise a draconian plan to push past the line slower so that it is less noticeable next time."
- Sony PlayStation, "still learning" since 1994
@caryndi But but but. We had a lot of fun. My favorite moment was the gift shop as it sparked so much imaginative roleplay from the players on how to get through it. They were creating their own obstacles to overcome using their rolls, even. It was awesome. ♥
@caryndi I also couldn't imagine how to naturally guide the players into figuring everything out, instead of just telling them what skills to use and why. -- idk! I got flustered, I showed it to my more experienced DM player and he didn't understand either.
@caryndi Disclaimer that I'm autistic with ADHD so not the core audience, but: we just didn't understand the hazard. Blocking the flow would trigger needles, but not touching them with the orb? And things seemed to require multiple actions, but interacting with a hazard costs 2 actions?
@caryndi Thank you! We did! I flubbed the hazard with the needles and the water. I just didn't get it. :[ But besides my muck up, everything else was great. A few good chances to RP, lots of cool strange locations, planar hopping, and really fun, cool loot, too! gg!
I've got a lot of copies of Nocturnal Farm (book 2), Nocturnal Salvation (book 3) & Nocturnal Liberation (book 4) left from the convention.
Sooooo, anyone interested in signed copies? You'd only have to pay for the shipping which would range from $20-30 & you'd get merch too!
Is it greedy of me to want more eyes (and reviews) on my short story collection?
If anyone is interested in Icelandic folklore, revenge stories & the theme of family bonds, I'm willing to send that person a free ecopy of As the Night Devours Us.
Let me know in the comments 😁
