I’m not even a teacher kodwa you guys are trying to justify ububhanxa. You neglect your children’s educational needs and expect teachers to perform miracles in 6 hours, only for that to be undone when they get home.
I want you to please listen to this when you have time. Maybe, just maybe you would see things differently and start doing something about it from your little corner.
Former freedom fighters have entered the mabahambe chat.
Gauteng Military Veterans Commander in Gauteng has called for all able former freedom fighters to take a stand and confront the government
Questions for Honourable President, Mr Ramaphosa. I’m not fighting, sir. I’m simply asking. Our communities are hurting, people are afraid & we deserve answers. This is about accountability, safety and the future of South Africa, please hear us in our time of need. 🙏🏾#RSA 🇿🇦

The crux of the issue in the ConCourt judgment
The ConCourt judgment amongst other matters ruled that a person who is illegal in South Africa cannot be arrested and deported IF they express an INTENTION to apply for asylum. Effectively, if an illegal immigrant just EXPRESSES an intention to apply for asylum they have to be released.
Yes we know asylum application doesn’t mean refugee status nor citizenship. The crux of the issue is what does an asylum application mean and what is afforded to people who merely posses a Section 22 permit.
A Section 22 permit is a legal document that is issued to an individual that has applied for asylum in South Africa whilst they await for Home Affairs to make a decision.
A holder of a Section 22 permit can access SRD grants, is legally enabled to study, be employed and run businesses in South Africa.
Auditor General back in 2020 stated, to clear the backlog on asylum applications and appeals, if no new applications are received it will take 68 years for Home Affairs to clear the backlog.
Home Affairs indicates, it takes between 5-10 years for a decision to be finalised on an asylum application given the appeals & court processes. This is unlikely to change as the Refugee Status Determination Officers are less than a 100 for the whole country.
The troubling feature as stated by Home Affairs is that 95% of asylum applications are denied as not meeting the legal requirements of a refugee.
Home Affairs doesn’t have a system to track and trace individuals who are asylum applicants. Most asylum applicants receive the Section 22 permit fail to report to Refugee Reception Office & continue to live in SA without lawful documentation.
Home Affairs doesn’t have systems to adequately ascertain whether asylum seekers are not fugitives. Fulgence Kayishema was criminally indicted for the killing of 2000 people in Rwanda. He came to South Africa seeking asylum and was given a refugee status, he lived in the country under a false name for more than 20 years working.
The Employment Services Amendment Bill proposes a removal of an “asylum seeker” in the definition of a foreign national. Meaning a foreign national who is illegal in the country, who has just merely applied for asylum is afforded the same rights as a citizen. This is even though 95% of asylum applications do not meet legal requirements and it takes a minimum of 5 years for an application to be finalised. In those years, they are legally entitled to work just like citizens.
The anger directed to the South African government by its citizens is legitimate. This ruling effectively means an illegal immigrant can have legal status in South Africa through an asylum application.
Even though 95% of these applications are not legitimate, they will still get to have access to work and business opportunities, SRD grants until the applications are finalised which takes years.
Greetings, @mmkubayi,
I wish to nudge you as a fellow Black person and as someone who is worried about your disposition towards the people of your country. The power that comes with incumbency is not permanent, and the effects of arrogance while in office may affect you long after you have left office.
Public service must be underpinned by humility and love for the people whom you serve, especially since they have voted for you.
Your posture and arrogance on media platforms are contrary to the expectations we have of someone who claims to be part of the party that claims to be a leader of society. I have to say categorically that this is indeed shameful.
Let me remind you that the universe has a way of humbling arrogant leaders, and you are no exception. You were voted into office by South Africans, not by NGOs and international groupings.
Listen more to the people whom you lead than to talking down to them.
Regards,
SA Citizen
The only scandal in this story is the fact that @News24 is arguing that only ANC and government loyalists should be allowed to secure government contracts.
No corruption has been revealed. The only revelation is that @JacintaNgobese is, in fact, willing to jeopardise her income by taking a stand for what she believes in.
The apparent view held by News24 and others that government contracts and jobs should only be awarded to friends of the ANC-led government is exactly the kind of thinking that has led to the deterioration of service delivery.
As was the case with News24’s previous hit pieces against @afriforum, this hit piece against Jacinta and @MarchAndMarchSA lacks substance and further undermines what little credibility News24 may have left.
Guys, I’m so heartbroken. I’m actually tearing up! 💔 Why does @GovernmentZA continue to prioritise foreigners over its own citizens? What the hell is going on? They are telling us to our faces that our voices, concerns and opinions mean absolutely NOTHING. We speak, we protest, we raise our concerns, and we are ignored. What is democratic about a government that makes decisions affecting its citizens while disregarding their concerns? Nah, guys! We cannot go on like this!
