Its September, 2017. Nipsey calls, as he would a few times a year. Just to talk game. He was excited about a project he had coming with Bino Rideaux ‘No Pressure.’ We began discussing the rollout of it on Datpiff and the month (November) he wanted to drop it.

He offered to send some bread for it, to give Bino a good look since he was a newer, less known artist at the time. He asked if Id take BTC, or messed with It in general. I said I did, but obviously refused It from him. He was so loyal to the platform, to the game. It lifted my spirits and motivated me anytime I would see one of his (many) numbers calling. (he had to change annually)

…WHO he was, was more than enough for me and better than any type of money he would offer.

He told me he just copped about 25 BTC a few months ago. I can’remember if he said $1200 per, or $1500 per. Either way!! It was an investment for him. Nip was super smart, always ahead of the curve with things like that. He was confident It would be the next wave. “If not, it was still worth the risk,” he said.

Today, Nips 25 BTC would be worth around $1,700,00.

He paid less than $38,000 at the time.

Nipsey wasn’t just an amazing rapper, he was an amazing human. He wasnt just smart, he was WISE, intelligent. Inspirational like no one I’ve ever met, still, to this day.
