Most Americans would call that absurd. It is not voter ID. It is a loophole dressed up as policy.

This is the same state that lectures the rest of the country on democracy while treating basic election checks like an afterthought.

Real safeguards use government-issued photo ID. California offers a grab bag of random plastic and paper.

This is not normal. It is not secure. It creates exactly the kind of system that makes fraud harder to catch and easier to dismiss.

This is what happens when Senate leadership talks tough on election integrity but fails to lock it down nationwide. California made it illegal for localities to demand proof at the polls.

Real voters show up with ID everywhere else. Here they trust a signature and a promise.

One system demands accountability. The other invites doubt.
