What a night. Yesterday, Nathalie Stutzmann made her long-awaited debut with us, and what a debut it was. With depth and unmistakable precision, she led the orchestra through Glinka and Brahms, while the incredible Augustin Hadelich brought Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto to dazzling heights.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re not done yet: tonight and Sunday, we play two more concerts.

❤🌹🍀Wishing the incredible Rachmaninoff a Happy Birthday! His Piano Concerto No.2 is one of my favourite Concertos to perform, and it has been a pleasure to include more of his work in my upcoming EP, Piano Book 2: Classical Encores.
Happy Birthday, Tchaikovsky 🎉🎶
We’re celebrating with a throwback to our 2022 performance of his Sixth Symphony, 'Pathétique' - his final completed symphony and one of the great masterpieces of the late Romantic era.
Enjoy the energetic ending to the third movement, with our Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali (so triumphant, it's often mistaken for the actual finale! 👏)
