Police to Seek Damages from Man Who Threatened Arson Ahead of BTS Concert 🧑⚖️
South Korean police have announced plans to file a damages lawsuit against a man in his 50s who posted an online threat to carry out an arson attack ahead of BTS’s concert at Gwanghwamun.
According to police on June 15, the man, identified only as “A,” will be ordered to pay approximately 2.28 million won in damages for posting the threat on March 19, two days before the BTS concert. A was convicted of public intimidation after leaving comments on an Instagram post about traffic control measures for the event, including one stating that he would “fill a water bottle with gasoline and throw it.” Last month, a court sentenced him to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years.

She said the group would be used for activities such as taking a large group photo and organizing banner-signing projects at the venue. She also mentioned that a separate group for the Hong Kong shows would be created after ticket sales opened.
Later, someone directly asked her, “Aren’t you a ticket reseller (scalper)?” She replied, “No, I’m not. I can just help you negotiate prices with scalpers.”
She said ticket prices were not determined by her, but a 6,000 yuan (820 USD) ticket original were being "negotiated" and sold to fans for as much as 9,000 yuan (1.230 USD)?
This screenshot comes from a fan group that she created herself. In the group, she shared a QR code and invited people who were planning to attend certain BTS concert dates to join.
Regarding the ticket scalping allegations: After her livestreams gained traction, she created group chats, telling fans that she could help them buy concert tickets because she had connections with ticket agents in Hong Kong and wanted to help fans obtain tickets
But the woman only left because she wanted to make a bigger move. She handed the dog (Tannie) to a staff member and asked them to pass it to him. 🥺
That’s why, later on, there was footage of Taehyung receiving Tannie, touching it briefly, and then returning it to her.
In Video 2, it seems like he was no longer focused on singing and kept paying attention to whether that woman had left. He even appeared to ask a staff member, “Has she gone?” and only walked back toward the main stage after she was gone
Eventually, Taehyung noticed her. At that point, it would have been difficult for him to completely ignore her. You can see from the video how uncomfortable he looked. He then turned toward the other side of the smaller stage and only turned back after a while.
This woman has absolutely no manners.
When Taehyung came to the smaller stage, she suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stood right in front of me, blocking my view. Taehyung was focused on singing and wasn’t paying any attention to her at first. (In Video 1, you can clearly see that he was still fully concentrated on his performance.)
She then started waving Tannie around to get his attention.
She also reportedly told viewers during her livestream that she had imagined a scenario in which Taehyung would walk down the stairs, come straight to her, take Yeontan, hold her phone so they could take a selfie together, pat her on the head, and then leave while carrying the plush toy. Some fans have also claimed that she previously said on a livestream that she wanted to “sleep with” V.
