Education funding is a tiny fraction of the federal budget but would increase to 3.7% - still small but much larger - next year under the President's budget. Urge Congress to support vital education investments for FY 2022 and in the longer term reconciliation bill.

How Title IV-A is Funded
1. Congress appropriates funds each year
2. States receive the funds July 1st
3. School districts apply to states for funds and have 2 years to use them
4. Title IV-A is currently funded at $1.22 billion
