This morning we filed a federal court action seeking an emergency order requiring California to sequester ballots returned by suspected noncitizens.

This is not political or controversial. 18 U.S.C. § 611 makes it a federal offense for noncitizens to vote in a federal election. We will not allow California to dilute the votes of American citizens.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko directed a series of pointed questions at Volodymyr Zelensky in absentia during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, where he had been summoned amid accusations that the city was inadequately prepared for winter.

"You can say whatever you like, blame Klitschko for anything, even a third world war. But I'm not the only one with a question: Where is the air defense to protect the capital? Where is the protection for Ukrenergo's facilities? Where are the billions allocated for this?" Klitschko said, according to Strana UA

He dismissed the accusations that preparations for the heating season in the capital had failed as a "show." Klitschko further claimed that the government had blocked funds, preventing all planned programs from being carried out.

Zelensky had earlier directly accused Kyiv authorities of failing to prepare the city for winter.

A long-running conflict has existed between the two. The latest round of the confrontation came Friday, when the Kyiv mayor, in an interview with the newspaper Bild, spoke of corruption within the inner circle of the head of the Kyiv regime.
