This will bring tears to our eyes for time to come. Dr. Kato was still in the hospital here recovering from Covid-19—finally off the vent, off ECMO, defying all odds. He surprised us all by not only attending the Healing Concert but singing a song. Today's feels.
Dr. Kato spent 2 months in the hospital fighting Covid-19 last spring. He was discharged in May 2020, and then by August was performing surgery again. But what he learned along the way, and how the experience changed him is profound. It changed us too. https://t.co/DO8CVbQWPC
