@turbomonsterr Skyrim's 2016 remaster/"special edition" was. Brought the game to a stable 64 bit engine alongside a plethora of graphical features and it alongside fallout 4 were the first games to bring full fat mods to consoles with their own dedicated platform.
@PeterP_1985 Works great with games that run around ~50 frames, I use loseless scaling for older games that are either hardcapped to lower frame rates or are bottlenecked by older APIs or engine limitations.
@ChromiePinas Yeah I tried it out with 3U on cemu. Set it to 120fps and it is absolutely crazy.
Also tried frontier @ 60 and 90fps and both look and feel good.
@casey_Payne23@kojimahead That it is.
this remaster runs far better than next-gen does due to native DX12 rendering. I'd chose either that or classic/DX11. The next-gen version is redundant at this point.

@PeterP_1985 Between the cube and visual makeup I just wonβt be touching this game.
It just does not appeal to any of my senses, combat so far looks middling. Hoping they can show us some encounters with more than a handful of enemies and bring it back to classic GoW numbers.
@UmbraInfinite@mortivoree Yeah I can only get into MMOs when I have a few days to burn. Monster hunter has scratched that itch either way without feeling like I need to invest so much time into it like actual MMOs
@BirdKICKerBing 3U and 4U have fan hosted online servers if youβre on a modded 3DS. Otherwise play 3U on cemu. Looks absolutely gorgeous at higher resolutions!
@bartonovopolis These arenβt identical shots, the time of day and likely weather is different.
Look at the shadow positioning of the posts. Iβm sure itβll be tit for tat though. Usually is with remasters.
@freakydios Quite of a few of wilds' monsters could have been improved with a better pack mechanic. More similar to what we are getting with the Araketa and less like what's in game where you get multiple uncoordinated full sized monsters.
Imagine multiple mini anjarakan's beyblading.
@topdoog11 Enemy variety issue is overstated tbh, just needed more boss fights across the world.
Theyβve added in over a dozen repeatable/rng style dungeons to the base game which should improve on this anyway.
Been enjoying FF16, great combat and the presentation of the world is quite gripping.
Very questionable level design though, everything just feels so pointless to trod through.
@djfoster08 World is a lot more difficult than rise and wilds is for the first 30 or so hours, kind of balances out beyond that until the endgame of the base games where wilds is just another level.
Will have to see where the expansion goes but iceborne is still quite difficult solo.
@casey_Payne23 Considering they both came with the game and cost a third of the price of the GTA 6 box I donβt think theyβre a bad deal. The IV special edition was Β£69.99/$89.99.
You would need to pay Β£440 to get the *complete* collectors version of VI, that is ridiculous.
