I have spent the better half of 3 years trying to bridge the gap between the AI and the traditional art spaces. I called out scammers left and right for not disclosing the fact they're using AI, like I did with Mothdusky and Miles DF. Yet despite this, they still come at me like I'm the bad guy. I've proven I come from a traditional background, and can even draw better than most of the people who say I can't.

But the fact of the matter is, it literally does not matter if you "pick up a pencil" or not. That doesn't matter to them. They just say that because it's a catchy punchline. The truth is, the moment you touch AI, you become a threat to them. You are able to do what they do at an efficient and highly competitive rate. You are now their competition, and they hate you for it. Nothing is stopping from them from using AI too besides their ego. Anyone who understands business would immediately know to adapt. Not using AI at this point puts you at a natural disadvantage.

Hell, I see it time and time again, where someone who hasn't seen my stuff before will praise it for being incredible art full of meaning and emotion, but the moment I tell them it's AI, the immediately become hostile and say it's soulless garbage and it looks terrible.

They hate it because they are sheep who were told they had to hate it by their shepherd.

The reason why they refuse use AI (at least the ones who aren't public about using it already) is because they don't want to be judged by their peers. Remember when digital tools came out in a market that was dominated by traditional art? All those people who refused to "pick up a stylus"? Where are they now?

It's mindless hysteria over something they think they're going to defeat by screaming at it. In the meantime, they're destroying the very thing they swore to protect, and they're doing it to themselves.

You can't reason with the unreasonable. I'm wasting my time trying to persuade them any more. If they want to continue using incandescent lightbulbs while the rest of the world uses LEDs, then so be it. It's a self inflicted wound and a manufactured crisis at this point.
