In appreciation of the role of Lebanese expatriates and their continued contribution to supporting their homeland, and as an expression of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment to their concerns and needs, I issued, in cooperation with the Minister of Finance, a circular reducing biometric passport fees by 50 percent. The circular also exempts all fees related to the processing, registration, and certification of death documents and all procedures connected to the transfer of remains to Lebanon, and fully waives fees for the certification of school records and certificates.

I will remain faithful to the commitment I have made to continue the path I have begun to improve the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and modernize its services, for the benefit of Lebanon and the Lebanese people wherever they are.

تقديراً لدور البنانيين في الانتشار ومساهمتهم المستمرة في دعم وطنهم الأم، وتعبيراً عن التزام وزارة الخارجية بشؤونهم وشجونهم ، أصدرت بالتعاون مع وزير المال تعميما بتخفيض رسوم جواز السفر البيومتري بنسبة 50%، وإعفاء رسوم معاملات تنظيم وتسجيل والمصادقة على وثائق الوفاة وكافة المصادقات المتعلقة بإجراءات نقل الجثمان إلى لبنان، وإعفاء كامل الرسوم الخاصة بالمصادقات على الإفادات والشهادات المدرسية.

وسأبقى على الوعد في مسار بدأته لتطوير عمل وزارة الخارجية وتحديث خدماتها، خدمة للبنان وللبنانيين أينما كانوا.
