🚨 NASA WATCHES CLOSELY AS 3 ASTEROIDS NEAR EARTH
NASA clarifies the odds and what to expect as 3 asteroids approach Earth, with two potentially large enough to warrant concern.
- The largest, a 340-meter giant, has a 1-in-11 million chance of hitting Earth on October 3, 2024. NASA does not consider it a threat.
- A more petite, 3-meter rock poses a slightly higher risk with a 1-in-430 chance of collision on Dec 17. If it entEarth's atmosphere's expected to burn up, causing no harm.
- A third micro-asteroid, about 6 meters wide, already passed close earlier this year without incident and poses no threat.
