Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 14 - Spoiler Warning

After the highs of Stand Up, we have a bit more of a grounded episode, in my opinion. The content is basically as is in the novels.

After returning from the Hall of Memories, Subaru and the others go to the balcony where Shaula is defending against the Witchbeast stampede. And then, after leaving her and Meili to it, Subaru and his group run into Lye Batenkaitos fighting Emilia, who has now had her name eaten. We saw bits and pieces of this action scene in the PV.

This is then followed by Reid showing up, and beating the hell out of Lye, before then proceeding to fight the others. The action is fairly decent.

Then, eventually, the Giant Scorpion shows up, making a real mess out of Subaru's leg. Before the loop finally ends with Satella showing up.

After Subaru returns by death, they get to Emilia earlier, before her name was eaten, as in the novels. Fighting against Lye. This leads to one of my favourite moments of the episode, where Lye delivers (or tries to deliver) his "From Zero" moment. The direction was excellent here. I also really love how Subaru's Cor Leonis is portrayed.

Eventually, Lye's death to the Giant Scorpion is done in a similar style to the Centaur death in Episode 3. Really brutal gore showing the aftermath. Really good stuff.

The episode ends on Julius and Reid crashing in, with the former informing them that Reid = Roy Alphard.

Has opening. No ending visuals - the ending plays as the Julius and Reid scene plays out. Not an extended length episode.

Unless we see unprecedented anime original content added to Episode 15, it seems likely it will end somewhere in Volume 25 possibly somewhere around Subaru discovering his own BOTD or (waking up in hall of memories⁉️⁉️⁉️)

this means vol 24/25 episode split would be 3.5 to 5.5🫠

10% of the volume to be covered in Episode 15, with it averaging .592 pg/min assuming 23:40 runtime.

for reference other dialogue oriented episodes like 12 and 13 averaged (1.744 pg/min and 1.47 pg/min) and covered 26.4% and 30% of volume 24 respectively.

There's currently no ETA for a fix.
