NEWS FROM HMCTS: logging into the online divorce platform through ‘manage cases’ currently shows 3 choices of ‘apply for a divorce’ on dropdown.

@solicitorchat The Child Arrangements programme sets out that before any application can be made for a child, mediation has to be attempted first. This would include amending a CAO. There are however exemptions from mediation and where those fit mediation is not required. #Solicitorchat

New law will amend the Wills Act 1837, so if wills must be signed in the ‘presence’ of at least two witnesses, their presence can be either physical or virtual. This will be back-dated to January 2020 and remain in force until January 2022
