INJURY UPDATE 🚨
Max Domi will be out indefinitely after undergoing offseason surgery to address an issue he played through during the 2025-26 season.
Domi will continue working with the Maple Leafs’ medical staff and is set to be re-evaluated at the start of training camp.
Morgan Rielly on why he has wanted to stay in Toronto:
“I’ve always wanted to stay. I still want to stay. I love being a Maple Leaf, this organization means a lot to me.”
“Obviously, you want to be playing for the Stanley Cup, but anytime you get the opportunity to represent your country... you don’t take it lightly.”
John Tavares plans to represent Canada at the IIHF World Hockey Championship.
Anthony Stolarz reflects on his comments after the Kraken game in October:
“I think most definitely could have been handled in the room. But I think sometimes that what we need is tough love…
The guys understood where I was coming from. There was no animosity.”
He waited to see if the team would be in the playoffs, said he would’ve come back for the postseason and have the surgery in the offseason if that had happened.
Feels good and said he’ll be ready for training camp in the fall.
“I want to win more than ever”
Chris Tanev says he feels he “let a lot of people down” by only playing 11 games.
Vows to come back strong and return to form: “I work harder than anybody.”
Chris Tanev said he saw multiple doctors after his last game against Detroit on Dec. 28. All said he needed surgery.
That's all folks
