The Howard University School of Social Work made history as the first HBCU to host the prestigious GADE Conference 🎉
The GADE Conference is the annual convening of the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work.
More than 100 leaders from doctoral social work programs gathered at The Mecca to have critical conversations around innovation, equity, and the future of social work doctoral education.
This year marks Howard’s 90th anniversary of social work education and the 45th anniversary of its doctoral program, the first of its kind at an HBCU.
