@JohnDiesattheEn I think that misses the point of the characters, though. They don't come up with more incentive things to say because they're not inventive. Harley Quinn is inventive; Peacemaker's an idiot.
@JohnDiesattheEn I liked how Alan Watts when about his study and teaching. He had some good things to say. But he was married 3 times and was generally unfaithful. On the other hand, that doesn't exactly contradict his philosophies. Does that qualify as a trainwreck?
@colltreese I find myself in a position where I need to do this after building my entire life and career around being able to make do with 4 to 6 hours a night.
Getting 8 hours sleep is Really inconvenient. Like, when do these people work?
Carson Wentz is invested in Philadelphia/South Jersey communities. It’s not just about him. It’s about family, friends, his AO1 Foundation, his Thy Kingdom Crumb food truck, friendships & relationships. I’m told he doesn’t want out of Philly & he hasn’t told that to anyone.
@EliotShorrParks I think the Super Bowl victory gave him too many false positives for tactics that haven't worked out since then, like prioritizing safeties and DTs over more expensive CBs and DEs. And they clearly lost the brains of their scouting dept.
McConnell has told people privately & publicly that he has 20 caucus members who won’t vote for any deal & he won’t put them in a bad spot. This is not a case of equal on both sides. He is especially emboldened after senate performance in election after doing this for years
@mcuban@tedcruz With respect @mcuban, this is not a “both sides” situation. The Senate literally skipped town. They’re not even trying.
As much as it makes people feel good to say “a pox on both your houses” the fact of the matter is it’s a one-sided situation trying to escape accountability.
Movie Idea: My Cousin Rudy
It's My Cousin Vinny, but with a less likable NYC lawyer who's been out of the game for decades and is now hilariously incompetent.
At one point, co-counsel sits him down to watch My Cousin Vinny as a refresher on rules of evidence.
@EliotShorrParks I don't disagree, but I feel like Schwartz costs us a couple games every year trying things he wished would work that fail spectacularly. He can't recognize the bad idea until it causes actual lost games.
I never had that feeling from Jim Johnson or Buddy Ryan.
