Today is the first of many #nationalpkuawarenessday for our family. In a twist of fate, our daughter inherited the same genetic condition I used to teach my students about. She’s a perfect addition to our family, providing me endless joy and another way to keep educating others!

Someone remembered that I casually mentioned he could check out a new educational tablet from the library this week...and called me out about it this morning. Someone also has a Holi festival at daycare today...so I guess I’m taking an Easter egg to the library this evening 🤷♀️
Thinking about the monthly child allowance that’s about to go into affect & can’t help but get a little emotional remembering former students living in poverty. I hope this helps their families as much as it I want it to: access to enough healthy food, safe housing, equity

@donnamichelet1 Caps For Sale is one my favorite children’s books. I still have my copy and it is now one my son’s favorites. I love the idea of using it as an anchor phenomenon. I’m definitely going to be stealing this idea for fun!
