NEWS: The President of the ABC (Abantu Batho Congress) says he has taken offence at some ANC leaders saying KwaZulu-Natal people vote along tribal lines and are somehow illiterate.
Philani PG Mavundla has also taken offence at Gwede Mantashe, saying former President Jacob Zuma's lack of formal education, partly contributed to his downfall and poor decision making.
In a statement, Mavundla says for far too long the Zulu nation has hoped that the animosity towards it will be dropped, but ANC leaders are fermenting it through their public utterances. @ScrollaAfrica
NEWS: A letter written by the President of Abantu Batho Congress (ABC), Philani PG Mavundla to the regional secretary of the ANC in the Inkosi Bhambatha region has laid bare shenanigans in the Umvoti (Greytown) local municipality where the two parties are coalition partners.ย
In the letter Mavundla who also the mayor of Umvoti reveals how the deputy mayor, Ntombi Ngubane who is also the ANC's regional chairperson, pushed for a man with no regional and town planning qualifications to be the director for planning in the municipality.ย
Mavundla also revealed how the former director for technical services, Ntokozo Qwabe, spent almost a million to repair a road that belongs to the provincial Department of Transport and ignored one under the care of the municipality. That was allegedly done because Ngubane uses the road when going to her home and Qwabe was returning the favour since Ngubane helped him score the top job. @ScrollaAfrica
