Keir Starmer has appointed 38 new members to the Lords, most of them Labour worthies (it already has enough Tory worthies) of limited achievements but now set with a sinecure for life.
As if there weren’t more than enough Lords already.
He has a massive majority. He’s meant to head a government of radical change. So why can’t he just abolish the Lords?
