@mrfewsteruk @MrTs_NQTs I archive everything and flag for followup. A folder per class, plus one each for tutor, CPD, dept. I have to divide and conquer!
‘I am frequently emailed by teachers who say there has been a huge increase in the number of young ppl who ask not to do things because they are anxious – and these requests are being granted. The concern is this is setting young ppl up to fail, I agree’ https://t.co/jvPwUAF06e
@La_Biologuita@eugenemcfadden Could this also mean that he has memorised it? I'm autistic and often find taking notes a bit pointless as I do have the ability to 'replay audio' in my head. Could be worth talking about cognitive load theory and how notes do actually help?
I talk passionately about having a character curriculum and what I believe children deserve.
This here. This is exactly it. Generations of children deserve to be taught about these two. Their respect. Their friendship. Their love.
A thread about parenting as the adult child of neglectful and abusive parents 🧵
My youngest child is doing her A levels, she is dyslexic, super motivated and organised. She plans her time well and uses her parents as resources. I have been following her lead on what she needs.
@GCSchoolTeacher @norchcity My mixed ability yr 9 physics classes are nearly impossible to teach. Behaviour can be tricky, plus students working at KS1 to KS5 standard in one room. Everyone benefits when we set in yr 10, actually becomes enjoyable!
@npaa_uk I'm an ND teacher, all non-class-facing work that requires focus is done at home. Can't concentrate in a workroom with several others and constant interruption from students. Awful for work life balance but is my only option.
@TTRadioOfficial@MrTs_NQTs It's not just you. Ever.
Ask those you aspire to teach like for help.
Behaviour management first - script everything, be painfully precise and practice!!!
Ignore vague generic waffle -
you need subject specific pedagogy.
Have one evening totally off a week.
