Overclock Labs buys $AKT from Coinbase on behalf of Akash's users to pay for deployments on Akash, as most Akash users are non-crypto folks and do not want to deal with buying, transacting, and securing crypto.
There seems to be unsettling confusion about the simple fact, even though I was so very vocal about the distaste for crypto from non-crypto users.
Before BME, all credit card purchases on console were purchasing USDC on Osmosis. After switching to BME, we chose not to because there is very little liquidity for AKT in the Cosmos ecosystem compared to something like Coinbase.
I've sold my $BTC to go all in on $AKT as my single largest position.
I believe it is one of the most under appreciated AI tokens in all of crypto right now.
This is my thesis behind why I believe that.
Kimi 2.7 now available on @akashnetAI with near Fable-Class benchmarks.
Tuned specifically for agentic coding, OpenRouter and connected Claude Code users can now test drive the latest from Moonshot AI with AkashML.

As promised, here is the $AKT thread 🧵 that will make you an akash pro !
You will know everything about AKT after reading this thread 👀
This project done a 38x in the last bullrun and it will easily pull off a 100x in the next one
Let’s dive in 👇

$AKT remains a top project for me.
I have to say, @gregosuri is one of the most dedicated and ethical founders in the space. Never witnessed a single red flag over the years. Happy to have been part of the community since day 1.
With nonstop innovation Akash will survive and thrive!
Half a million $AKT burned to mint ACT. 🤯
This shows something important:
People are actively using @akashnet compute enough that the protocol has already needed to burn 500K+ AKT just to create compute credits.
Not speculation.
Not hype.
Actual compute demand interacting with the token economy.

@passageio using @akashnet GPUs for cloud-powered Unreal Engine worlds is a glimpse into the future of the internet.
Interactive 3D experiences streamed instantly to any device — while reducing compute costs by up to 70% compared to AWS.
Cheaper infrastructure creates better user experiences.
That’s where decentralized compute wins.

it takes balls of steel to have conviction to invest in crypto right now and i respect each one of you that show up everyday and give your best.
take a moment to appreciate yourself.
Buying $AKT here for the first time since 2023.
Compute is going to keep bulling and will benefit Akash massively revenue-wise.
Market will notice soon and it will go parabolic.
I'll be honest about why I pay attention to $AKT.
It's not the price chart.
It's not the token emissions or the staking APY.
It's the fact that this project is solving a problem that actually exists, and gets worse every quarter.
AI compute demand is outpacing supply.
Traditional data centers are hitting capacity limits: land restrictions, energy constraints, regulatory pressure.
Nearly half of U.S. data centers planned for 2026 are expected to face delays or cancellations.
That's not a crypto narrative.
That's a real infrastructure bottleneck.
Akash sits directly in that gap.
A decentralized marketplace for idle GPU capacity, already operational, already processing real workloads.
AkashML offers 70–85% cost savings over centralized inference services.
These aren't projected numbers.
They're live.
What changed my view was the BME launch in March 2026.
Burning $AKT to access compute means every real deployment applies deflationary pressure to the token.
It's not speculative demand.
It's mechanical.
The risk is adoption speed. Competing with AWS isn't easy.
But the tailwind is real, the architecture is solid, and the community has shown they can ship under pressure.
That combination is rare enough to be worth watching closely.
