@charlesceccooke Hi Chas, you really need to ask @CalMac_Updates but the Kilchoan ferry is turn up and go. It’s advisable that you get there early to get the ferry of your choosing, otherwise you may have to wait for the next sailing but would then be at the front of queue. Safe travels!

A great article on the @Tobharbour development & improvement work at Aros Park, Tobermory in this week's Oban Times following the successful purchase of some land, buildings & the old pier area with help from the Scottish Land Fund. A family photo below of how it looked in 1966.
@LorneOban Thanks Lorne, great photo. Here’s one of the refurbished pier, with the new walkway, slipway and pontoon set up. Just a couple more weeks of structural work to complete on the boathouse before we can allow access down to the pier again. We’re almost there!
We are (virtually) flying the red ensign today in support of Merchant Navy Day.
This is the day when those across maritime, honour and remember the sacrifices of seafarers and fishers.

@swmull_iona If it’s any consolation, although it’s Tobermory, they never show the other half of the bay, where we’ve spend 40yrs building assets, it’s like we don’t exist either…well done, it’s a fantastic achievement, from your friends up north 👏👏👏
Deadline approaching !!!!
Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day you can register interest for tendering for the Boathouse redevelopment works.

@ScottishPorts We really need to be pushing for Port Operations apprenticeships in Scotland. We have tried and failed to get a provider in Scotland under the current maritime skills framework and have resorted to paying for training ourselves.
Plans to bring a former pier and slipway on the Isle of Mull back into use have secured investment. The Tobermory Harbour Association has already made improvements within the harbour and is now implementing plans to create an outdoor activity hub.
