The security man in our office didn't come to work today because his wife put to bed.
The tradition in our office is that whenever a staff member has a major celebration, like a wedding or child dedication, everyone contributes ₦20,000 towards a gift and support.
So HR said we shouldn't wait until the baby dedication since the man would really need the money now. The company would sort it out first and then deduct the ₦20,000 contribution from each of our salaries at the end of the month.
There are 11 of us in the office, so the plan was for everyone to contribute ₦20,000, making ₦220,000 in total. ₦20,000 would be used to buy diapers, while the remaining ₦200,000 would be transferred to his account.
Then a lady in Accounting said, "Why should we contribute ₦20,000 for a common gateman? He doesn't even earn up to that amount as salary. She has a lot of expenses this month. Let's just do ₦5,000 each."
The annoying part is that this same lady had an appendix operation not long ago, and nobody complained when the whole office contributed to support her.
Some people are naturally wicked.

“It’s clear that some so-called transfer experts reported a few days ago that the deal was done or gave it the ‘here we go.’ That’s simply not the case. We’re not at that stage yet.”

@jon_d_doe As it should be Agba! My late father always said, “Once you’re married your priority should be your husband and his family. Never burden your husband with your family’s responsibilities” Yet he still helped my mum’s family without her even asking. Bless his soul.
As a man,
If you're married to a first daughter child from a struggling family, & you're also from a shrugging family.
Please take care of your immediate family first.
But when you want to extend kindness to your extended family, please do it to your own siblings first.
Your wife's family will be highly dependent on your income, and your own family will be looking to you for help too.
Please uplift your own family out of poverty first, before thinking of your wife's.
Otherwise, your wife will use your money to upgrade her family and later shame your own family for being poor & even try to block you from helping them.
Forget that she's your wife and mother of your children.
She also has brothers, and her brothers will do the same if they were in your shoes.
End.

OPERATION HADIN KAI TROOPS CRUSH ISWAP INFILTRATION ATTEMPT IN CROSS KAUWA, INFLICT HEAVY LOSSES…Preliminary Forensic Findings Point to Foreign Facilitators Behind Failed Attack
Troops of 19 Brigade, Sector 3, Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have decisively foiled an attempted infiltration by ISWAP terrorists into Cross Kauwa, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, inflicting heavy casualties on the attackers and forcing them to retreat in disarray. The successful defence of the location further demonstrates the vigilance, combat readiness and operational effectiveness of troops who continue to deny terrorist elements freedom of action across the North East Theatre.
The failed attack occurred at about 2220 hours (10:20 p.m.) on 11 July 2026, when the terrorists attempted to exploit the cover of darkness to breach the troops' location. Alert troops swiftly detected the hostile movement and responded with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, compelling the terrorists to abandon their mission of looting cholera medical supplies and withdraw in confusion after suffering severe losses. The attempted looting further lends credence to recent intelligence reports of a cholera outbreak within terrorist enclaves, as well as reports of the execution of some affected members by the group.
The neutralisation of a terrorist cameraman during the failed assault led to the recovery of a Sony camcorder containing highly sensitive recordings of terrorist activities, including operational footage and propaganda materials. Preliminary forensic analysis of the last available video recorded prior to the attack indicates that the operation was coordinated by four senior ISWAP commanders (Qai'ds), alongside three foreign terrorist facilitators. They include a Palestinian Arab identified as Abu Ishaq, assessed to be ISWAP's overall trainer; a Moroccan Arab identified as Abu Thaiba, a medical doctor serving within the terrorist network; and another Arab operative whose identity is yet to be established. The presence and active involvement of these foreign nationals further reinforces intelligence assessments that ISWAP continues to benefit from external support, specialist expertise and transnational terrorist linkages.
Following the successful engagement, troops immediately dominated the area and conducted exploitation operations to ascertain the full extent of the terrorists' losses. During the operation, troops recovered the Sony camcorder, several rounds of PKT and 7.62 mm Special ammunition, terrorist uniforms and other combat enablers. Initial analysis of post-engagement satellite imagery revealed terrorists evacuating the bodies of some of their neutralised fighters during their withdrawal. This has since been corroborated by credible human intelligence sources, which confirmed that the terrorists suffered heavy casualties, with many others sustaining gunshot wounds during the engagement. Two soldiers sustained gunshot wounds during the firefight and were promptly evacuated by air for advanced medical care. Both personnel remain in stable condition.
The failed infiltration attempt represents yet another significant operational setback for ISWAP and caps a costly weekend for the terrorist group following sustained offensive operations and intensified military pressure across the North East Theatre. The outcome underscores the increasing difficulty the terrorists face in executing coordinated attacks against highly alert and combat-ready troops, while further degrading their combat capability, morale and freedom of action. Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in sustaining offensive operations, protecting vulnerable communities and dismantling terrorist networks until lasting peace and security are fully restored across the North East.

I am literally on X to vibe and connect. The aforementioned is my life off the app.
This is my LIFE ‼️
There is a current business opportunity that is a blessing in disguise for Africans… but I will focus on NIGERIA.
Currently, there is so much talk about Chinese cars in Nigeria.
A lot of people admire them and want them but there is still one major fear holding many buyers back: REPAIRS AND SPARE PARTS.
It is a business opportunity.
Those of you who have money sitting around, or who are looking for what to invest in, consider sacrificing 6 months to 1 year or even 2 years to build serious expertise around Chinese vehicles.
Go to China.
Learn how these cars are properly serviced, diagnosed and repaired.
Study their engines.
Study their electrical systems.
Study their diagnostic software.
Study their hybrid and EV systems.
Learn how to identify and source the correct parts directly from manufacturers and suppliers.
Build relationships with workshops, technical institutes, parts manufacturers and distributors.
Then come back to Nigeria and establish a proper CHINESE VEHICLE SPECIALIST SERVICE & PARTS CENTRE.
The truth is, Chinese cars will become a major force in Africa.
The cars are already coming and more will come and Nigerians will buy them, Africans will buy them.
And as the number of Chinese vehicles on our roads grows, the people who know how to keep them on the road will flourish.
It is still early, the market is not yet overcrowded and you still have time to position yourself at the top of the food chain.
In a few years, people may look at this opportunity and wish they had moved earlier.
Go in now, if you can’t, sponsor your brother, sponsor your sister, sponsor your child. Slot yourself in if you can.
Nigeria will need you, Africa will need you.
