As you may know or not know the Sides Motorsports truck caught on fire at the Cedar Lake Speedway Friday afternoon after being there for over an hour and a half, car unloaded and getting ready for the nights race event . Shortly, after unloading a part time crew member, Ashley , spotted smoke coming out from under the Sides truck. We ran up there to take a look and seen fire on top of the air tank, which is directly under the cab of the truck. We rushed to get fire extinguishers to get it put out using up several teams fire extinguishers after finally getting it put out come to realize that it had burned through all of the airlines, all of the fuel lines, and one of the main wiring harnesses after talking with a local man he suggested calling Dean with Blaine Brothers. Dean was amazing. He asked about what it was gonna take to fix it. I explained to him what all it burned sent pictures and he sent Micheal out with a service truck and most everything to fix it for the night. He got all the fuel lines repaired. A lot of the airlines repaired. We fired the truck up that night and made sure it ran. Micheal then returned the next morning and brought several more air fittings in which to fix the remaining air lines on the truck. JOB well done thanx to Blaine Brothers
Sides Motorsports would also like to thank the Crews from several teams that jumped in to help put out the fire , @SharkRacing1a1s , @CJB_51 and 2C Racing a special thanks to Zach Patterson for going under the truck getting as nasty as he did to cap off the fuel lines. Thank you to the @WorldofOutlaws for supplying a few extra fire extinguishers after we used all of ours up, nothing worse than fire 🔥
I know we all race to beat each other out on the track , but to see each and everyone of the crew members come over to help out or check on us , after all said and done , that says it all …FAMILY
Thank you to all , Jason

How in the f is someone not locked in from a huge soup run? @cbnationals you need to use a 13th row add for biggest soup runners. Every other big series uses provisionals... this could be yours. Reward those who actually deserve it. Retweet if you agree!!! @FloRacing@clintonboyles98
This thing has me pretty excited for The 2026 @cbnationals! Big thanks to longtime supporter @whitzracing for being along for the ride once again. The Ofixco 21x was always my favorite car, and to bring it back, in Oklahoma will be really cool!
So i just watched the Chase Johnson video and initially i have two take aways from it
First thing is this, Chase is correct about everything being behind closed doors in private. Very few share information publicly for open discussions, learning, or studying. Its mostly done on a person to person basis in the industry. I guess when its discussed in private it keeps the water smooth on the surface
When sanctioning bodies make safety rules very rarely do you get any supporting information about why this rule makes it better or safer. Its basically “this is the rule, you have till next year to comply”. Its sad that there is not more open dialogue or supporting information along with their position
Ive always said pride and arrogance keeps alot of innovations from moving forward. Pride in the sense that some people are too proud to admit that they got it wrong, or that there is a better way or different approach to getting a better result. And arrogance in the sense that some people think they are the “expert” and actually know more than they really know
Second thing is this, i wonder if the head/neck restraint had anything to do with the final result. If he had nothing on at all is the outcome better? Is a harness type restraint better than the carbon fiber?
When u go to a gas station in a nice neighborhood you get out, pump gas, look around a bit and go on with ur day. Ur relaxed and at ease cause u don’t feel any danger. When u go to a gas station in a shitty neighborhood you act different. Ur on heightened alert and constantly looking around for the worst case scenario because u know shit can go bad at any moment. Racing is that gas station in a shitty neighborhood regardless of what the track, cars, or surroundings look like so always stay on heightened alert 💯

Midget racing is kinda like make up sex. Its angry, aggressive, starts out wet, may dry out, you aim for a hole, sometimes its the wrong hole, ya bounce off each other, u drive it in deeper than normal, u get spun around, although fun and entertaining all parties take a beating and leave separately. And one is still gonna bad mouth the other at a Denny’s an hour later 😂
@BoCamaro I was just a lurker and never interacted, but we are in a similar career field and I enjoyed all of your post, and I supported a few of the fundraisers. Hit me up on your new account please. I like seeing your work endeavors.
