i work 8 full weeks a year for free

glean's work AI index 2026 just measured 6,000 workers: AI saves them 11 hours a week and they hand 6.4 of those hours straight back, feeding it background, checking what it wrote, fixing what it got wrong

58% of the time saved, gone. 6.4 hours a week is 333 hours a year. 8 work weeks of telling a computer what you already told it. and you're doing it too, you just never counted

not bad prompts, not bugs. the AI doesn't know what matters to you, so you keep telling it

i tried to fix it myself. wrote one page about who i am, what i'm building, how i want things done. paste it before every task. chats went from 14 messages to 4.

but here's the embarrassing part: i'm doing by hand what the AI should do on its own

the productivity layer is solved. the judgment layer hasn't been built yet
