The UT Martin deans celebrated the career of our colleague, Dean Cindy West, last night. The College of Education, Health, and Behavioral Sciences dean is retiring this month after 30+ years at UTM.
While in New Zealand earlier this month, the UT Martin contingent visited the Ministry of Awesome (MOA) based in Christchurch. MOA is an organization that supports high-growth startup companies nationwide, particularly those with strong potential for international expansion.
On this 1st day of the Fall Semester, I kicked off Orientation to the Graduate Dietetics interns. The group supervised by Mr. Brian Carroll will be starting their internships next week at medical facilities around the state. It is the 32nd 1st day for me as a faculty member.

NARRU President Todd Winters ran into Past-President and long time NARRU Board Member, Dr. Tony Brannon, Dean Emeritus of Agriculture at Murray State University. Post-retirement, Dr. Brannon is the Ag. Facilitator for the Western KY Alliance for a Vibrant Economy (WAVE).
Yesterday, Dean Winters ran into two recent CAAS graduates at the West TN Hospitality & Tourism Taskforce meeting at Southwest TN Community College—Quincie Borowiak (FCS, L) at Instructor, TCAT-Northwest & Caroline Partin (Agbusiness) over Obion Co. Tourism. Soaring!
Last Day of ANSC 360: Animal Genetics which means that the class are all now “Certified Unicorn Breeders” and have the certificates to prove it. Dean Todd Winters is the Instructor for the class which is also “beamed” to the UT Martin Regional Centers in Parsons & Selmer.
