@whedonesque Started about 10 years ago when I was pushing 40. Reading the replies, I realize I'm a total weirdo. (I already knew.) As a writer manqué, I just fell in love with the dialog. I think I'd seen Firefly earlier, but had never heard of Joss Whedon. I've rewatched all many times.
In 1950s Russia, one of the only ways to hear blues, jazz and rock’n’roll from America was to get hold of one of these – a bootleg record pressed up on a discarded X-ray plate.
King of Spain at the final day of Wimbledon. This looks great.
Very rare to see this level of tailoring nowadays, even on the wealthy. So let's talk about some of the reasons why it's great. 🧵

@HipHopHistoryGy Love Gangstarr the most, but Drop was a pretty revolutionary video. Imma definitely watch Mass Appeal, but looking forward to Pharcyde too. Was there also a video for What's Up Fatlip? That would be my top pick in general if it exists!
Interesting find in Egypt mentioned to me today by my student, @La5tadellobo. Reminds me of the claustrophobia inducing tunnels under the pyramid in Cholula, Mexico.

@blusand03@HipHopHistoryGy Oh, damn. I didn't even know Tried by 12 had a video. Both are great tracks that got heavy rotation on my CD player back in the day.
@InvisiblesMuros Seems to me that's the default in Colombia. So many friends who hate the candidate they voted for the minute they start doing things (or not doing things) in office. Doesn't seem to be quite as common with Petro as it was with Duque or Claudia Lopez though. shrug emoji
