With the legendary Frank Sedgman, his wife Jean and my partner Susan. Frank won 22 majors in just five years as an amateur, including the AO singles in '49 and '50. He was the one every kid wanted to emulate, Sedge had it all. It's been wonderful to see my buddy again in person.

As Manolo Orantes, Jose Higueras, & all Spanish champions who followed will agree, it was Manolo Santana winning @Wimbledon in 1966 that allowed tennis to burst out of its privileged Country Club confines & become a sport for the people. Manolo has left us but his legacy remains.
Bublik's interviews really are the best. On Tennis Channel just now, he called his doubles shot round the net post from yesterday "the best shot in doubles eternity" and said one big change he'd make as the ATP president is "play all the tournaments in Newport".
It is an honor to announce that the Original 9 is being inducted into the @TennisHalloFame.
The 9 of us were willing to give up our careers & never play again for the opportunity to start something. To be honored together for having an impact on tennis history is just terrific.
