Why do top orgs invest in creative rituals? Rituals are meaningful.
The part of our brain responsible for IMAGINATION + EMPATHY is also responsible for MEANING.
📈meaning = 📈creativity.
Reflecting on what you did in the past will improve your future.
Without reflection your mistakes will likely repeat.
This is true in all parts of life.
Personally and professionally.
Take the time to reflect.
With success and with failure.
Your future self will thank you 🙏
Treat every day like there are lessons to be extracted from it.
Reflection is the extraction process.
Be it with pen & paper, notes, or in one's head on a walk.
The latest in brain scan research discovered that the single biggest factor suppressing alpha waves(related to creativity and artistry) is holding on to grudges and anger. So it was critical for us to be able to release every last bit of it out of our system through forgiveness.

I keep thinking about:
How my choices between 5-9 impact my growth during my 9-5.
A friend yesterday helped me go deeper. 5am-9am + 5pm-9pm are both opportunities to make choices that help increase insights, energy, and meaning in our lives.
How do you use your two 5-9’s?
What’s your favorite “quick mental recharge” yoga pose?
Not ashamed to say that I have done “legs up the wall” in offices... airports... and twice today already 😂 a three min break in this pose really helps me!

Yesterday put together a simple morning routine:
1) 20 min meditation (to clear mind of emotional residue)
2) 20 min reading business notes (to load the mind with relevant info)
3) 20 min walk (to think out loud)
Did it.
Results:
clear thinking, new ideas, knowing what to do.

How do you increase creative performance? @CrazyPolymath is 🎯.
We do so with rituals to help you “toggle” between the Executive Network (being curious, gathering + structuring new data) and the Default Network (subconscious pattern recognition to drive insights).
~ The Subconscious Mind and Creative Work ~
To get the best results in a creative work, you need to engage your conscious as well as subconscious mind.
But if you scroll Twitter after doing a session of creative work, you lose the output from the subconscious mind.
