Naoki Hamaguchi says FF7 Revelation will have an option at a certain point in the game to automatically raise your characters level to to recommended level to progress for those that only want to play the main story.

He says he got a lot of feedback from players only wanting to play the main story in Rebirth and skip the side content, that they were under leveled and struggled.

He says he wants players who want to skip the open-world experience to have a similar linear story driven experience to FF7 Remake so they will include an option that pops up at a certain point asking "Do you want to automatically raise the level to the recommended level?"

He says players that don't want to explore the open world and just want to play the main story can select the option to automatically adjust the level.

Souls fans are the biggest example of people getting pissed when you do something differently to them. Just tell them you used magic and they start freaking out and saying your playthrough didn't count because it makes the game too easy. Despite just being an option in the game.

The reason why From Soft fans end up bonding with each other so well is because they all experienced the same game and that allows people to discuss a shared experience.
Putting an "option" in the game that lets you skip the game dilutes both the game and the experience for all.

I've realised the issue with this discourse is that classic mode elitists for some reason think people playing on casual just suicide their units over and over again every chapter, which is why they constantly bring up death strats. That's what YOU would do on casual not others.

OP getting grilled like wow do people really not understand how forcing you to reset if a unit dies fundamentally changes how you play. death strats are *insanely* strong which is punished only by the fact that they are gone forever which casual mode eliminates!

A lot of people seem to think my point is that I think the game should've never been changed? And not that I think it's funny to call it the "greatest game of all time" when you had to use mods because the game looks, runs, controls and plays like shit.
