Passing this on as a concerned collector. I'm still reading up on it at the moment but July 8th the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission requires mandatory e-filing for all regulated consumer products at the time of entry into the U.S. and if the shipper doesn't have their ducks in a row your item(s) are subject to seizure and / or destruction with potentially little to no recourse depending on the situation. I already canceled a few pre-orders and modified my AmiAmi orders. Word is to avoid shipping with DHL for the time being. Putting this out now since apparently CPSC is already testing the waters with this and some people have reported problems.

I'd give it a day or two to let the news hit before emailing any storefronts you have pre-orders with but I'd still follow up on it soon. I feel this is gonna bite a lot of people.

the only thing that changed was how the importers file and maybe some extra stuff they have to file, the current cases that have been confiscated are just edge cases of being unlucky and the importers filing improperly.

@kamenridermeta My concern was just the tariff cost. But I've used Fedex in the past when ordering from Taka, an usually my order arrives in a few days with no issues. But now I have to include my FedEx number when I order from Taka.
